Yes it is nice to find them in this area with such good color. Just for the record I am not a big fan of wild caught, but she had such good bright red that I couldn't refuse and it's perfectly legal in my state as they are far too common to be protected, not that is a really good justification but, I am going to try to breed her to a anerythristic red-sided male that I got from Scott Felzer. Apparently even the hets can be slightly visually different, can't wait to see how that turns out. If they don't breed I have a regular red-sided as a back up.
You know the grass is always greener somewhere else, I would love to live where eastern box turtles and corn snakes and or melanistic easter garters live, I think it would be cool to see them in the wild.
