Is that a pure Floridana? ,I have a Pinellas County RED and yellow and black ground color!,But that one is bleeding red!you often see red and orange color predominantly on the side though the red pinellas has RED saddles. let me try and find and decode a pic in my library...either way its a beaut.

Nice ,looking snake. I have seen well think they were Florida kings as not an expert on them but the heads are different than water snakes .
There are large canals with large fields in area lots shrubs,etc thats where I saw them when I go feed the peacock bass extra crickets from my cricket storage bin.
. By them I mean 3 in few yrs not many
Either way they were just drab colored dark no red nothing fancy. Head,body like yours but again just drab looking . Recently did see 2 scarlet kings which were nice.
