Thermometers, what kind works best?

gothicbambi Jan 24, 2008 01:04 AM

Okay so I got some new snakes, and although I've got undertank heaters on them (Witch is all it takes to manage my other snakes heat needs) I dont have a thermometer, and I was wondering what kind I should get? What works better:

Gauge Thermometer
Digital Thermometer
Adhesive Thermometer

What one do you use, and what works best?
I'm going to upgrade the otehr snakes as well, so yeah ^^
Thanks for any help

To measure temps on substrate and snake, a non-contact thermometer. See the $25 one at tempguns.com. Wonderful tool. Your snake sits on substrate warmed by a heat pad. You need to know what that temp is w/o moving the snake. No problem.

For air temp sensing, any bimetal (dial types) or digital is fine, with digital having faster response.
