Boa babies

Caseyk Jan 24, 2008 11:26 AM

My female boa is getting close to giving birth. What needs to be done as far as care for the mother and baies after? Do the babies need the same temp?
This is my first breeding

I would suggest after she gives birth to feed her a rat smaller than what she would normally eat. Remove the babies and let her rest after cleaning her cage.

Babys can be kept at the same temp but I would also suggest lightly misting their enclosure until their first shed.

Hope this helps.
