The "Glow"

Wallbanger26 Jan 25, 2008 01:31 PM

As previously stated, I'm no good at seeing ovulations or the glow. Then it dawned on me, when do they glow? Is it when they'ere ovulating, after ovultion, before the prelay shed, after the prelay shed? Someone fill me in please.

I don't know about others, but my normal female started glowing at the start of the breeding season. She gets brighter with each shed. She just shed yesterday, and brighter still. Its actually VERY noticable. (At least with her). She hasn't ovulated that I have noticed, but stopped breeding, so either shes taking a break, or I missed ovulation. I'll keep putting them together for now, and see what happens.

I think its different for different snakes, but that has been my experience this year.

Hi,

I have been noticing "the glow" in my females for about 10 years. It usually develops when their follicles are starting to grow and become palpable. It usually continues until right around ovulation (in my females anyway).
