To stave off some of the winter doldrums, you may want to try this.
I ran this on the internet about a year ago, so if you took it then, you can try again or disqualify yourself.

We all know that identifying baby Rat Snakes, Racers, etc. can be a challenge sometimes because they rarely look like the parents.
.
Try and match a list of common names with the pictures of hatchlings or juveniles.
.
Rule 1: The following three Rat Snake hatchling wizards are not permitted to play:
Bill Love
Mudsnake6
Dwight Good

.
Consideration:
1. These snakes are from adults that are classic examples mentioned or shown in 1958 Conant’s Field Guide, in that, there would be no doubt as to what they are if you saw them.
2. These come from North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana, Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, Illinois, and Texas.
.
.
Here’s a list of the animals to select from:
.
1. Baird’s Rat Snake
2. Typical Corn Snake
3. Kisatchi Corn Snake
4. Emory’s Rat Snake
5. Emory’s Rat Snake – intermountain Variant
6. Rat Snake – Black Variant
7. Rat Snake - Deckert’s Variant
8. Rat Snake - Gray Variant
9. Rat Snake - Greenish Variant
10. Rat Snake – Gulf Hammock Variant
11. Rat Snake - Texas Variant
12. Rat Snake - Yellow Variant
13. Trans-pecos Rat Snake
14. Western Fox Snake
15. Eastern Fox Snake

Put down your winter Sudoku book, give it a try, Good Luck and enjoy it!

I’ve gotta say, I’m not very familiar with emoryi or vulpina, but I’ve kept up with all the others enough that I’d expect to have semi-decent accuracy. Here are my guesses:
1.(Bairds) F
2.(Corn) N
3.(Kisatchee) O
4.(Emory) A
5.(Intermountain Emory) G
6.(Black Rat) D
7.(Deckerts) I
8.(Gray) E
9.(Greenish) L
10.(Gulf Hammock) H
11.(Texas) K
12.(Yellow) M
13.(Trans Pecos) C
14.(Western Fox) B
15.(Eastern Fox) J

I was afraid the yellow, greenish, and deckert's would be too similar for me to distinguish and it looks like I slipped up on them. At least there wasn't an everglades rat in there to make matters worse.

Yeah, Kev,
Everglades....
I missed that one somehow!!! LOL
