Hey Gang, when downsizing a collection, what drives you to keep or sell certain animals?

I never down size I always up size. But I guess I would keep the ones that fit into my projects are the ones I enjoy most as pets.

Joe,

Alas, the forbidden fruit...You can look, examine, photo, etc...but that's it! Very, very interesting animal...

Any particular locale for that photo?

Later,
Jim.

Joe,

Thanks man. Sure, I'd love the GPS in either long/lat or UTM grid...I'm working on a map project as well...Used to do resections before GPS back in the old days...Had to declinate the compass though...Ha! Ha!

Send the info via email...

Very sincerely appreciated.

Later,
Jim.

I figuered that i would get that kind of response from all you mexicana heads! I have been toying with the idea of down sizing a tad, mostly on a few corns and mabey a few kings, but i havent decided yet, everytime i look at my collection the idea gets harder and harder, there are a few blood lines i have that i will never part with, its always a tough choice

I have sold off some of my animals that didn't want to get on the frozen thawed bandwagon. It's kind of a pain to go to get live to feed.

Just my preference, but i prefer the ease of a feeding frozen thawed. Just fits in better with my busy work schedule.

Well my first thought in selling snakes is usually
1. What is my intended end state or goal
2. Is the snake going to enhance my collection
3. Solid feeder - can honestly say I don't have this problem with the thayeri I was working with and recetnly sold. All of them are solid feeders.

I know that is more than my first thought...but you get the drift. Hatchlings are always tough becasue I'd like to keep them all...but you can't. Good luck making your decision.
