some automatic mister questions

chacoantegu Aug 26, 2003 06:14 PM

i have finally decided that i am going to buy an automatic mister for several different reasons. the one i am getting is the mr. moisture from lllreptile. would this be able to mist more then one cage? those who have used it what do you think of it? what is the longest it can mist at one time and how many times per day? or is it however i would like.

i haven't used that one, but one similar. it's big apples misting system, and it's not too bad. i am currently misting 4 cages with it, and the longest that it can run is 4 minutes at a time, and it has to cool down between runnings. a better investment would be the rainmaker series.

these guys sell it

It has to cool down after four minutes??!!! How can you water a cham cage in less than four minutes?

I built my own it can run 15 gallons of water in one shot if need be.... here's the link:

It has to cool down after 4 minutes of use for 30 seconds. My rainmaker actually sprays for about 20 seconds after the pump is shut off. So we are talking 10 seconds of downtime. 20 max.

even if you have to wait a minute for the thing to come back on...I dont think that will make or break to habitat.

Your looks good though. Nice work.
