Here are the two variants of greenish rat snakes found in my area. #3 just came out of brumation and shed today. #2 (bottom) has the more typical yellow rat appearance. #3 (top) has the square dorsal blotches along with the stripes.

I think that one at the bottom is a Garter snake. I had one of them one time and it was mean so I kilt it
