Very nice. The body color a pattern looks almost like a Az Mountain King.

Doug,

This little 07 girl looks almost identical, right down to the head pattern and red on the nose. Check it out:

And here's an 07 male from a Laredo male and a melanistic female. He is pure thayeri, but looks almost ruthveni-like, especially his white cheeks:

Yeah,....they do look very similar, and that one does have a good amount of white on the cheeks.

I would probably reserve the term "melanistic" for an animal with a much greater percentage of dark pigmentation on the body however. But it does have a pretty bold amount on the head.......very nice animals indeed!

Here's another male that is similar as well.

Doug,

You misinterpreted. He isnt a melanistic....he came from a laredo dad paired with his melanistic mom.
