What Burm morph is this?

mfoux Jan 28, 2008 10:35 AM

I ran across this page (link below) and was wondering if anyone could tell me what burm morph this is. I'm not very familiar with what's out there as far as Burms are concerned. It's the white one with grey spots in the pic. Anyone know?

I don't know for sure but it appears to be a variation of "calico." I'm not up to date on all the morphs and I tend to tune out the ones I don't care much for, making me even more ignorant. Just don't have the time for it now. But that is a decent looking snake.

Have a good one!

I personally think its a calico retic-- not a burm -- i looked all over the internet and couldn't find anything else that looks like that burm-wise-- they're all retics....

I couldn't blow the pic up anymore so its hard to tell from that shot...

just what i think though --

and speaking of mis-labeled reptiles-- i just bought a book from borders called "snakes" -- go figure- it was 7 $ and on clearance.

Well 2 of the pics are OBVIOUSLY mislabeled- one is of a normal burm titled "reticulated python"... the other was an Emerald-- titled "kondropython" --- OMG!! what idiots-- earlier in the book there is a Chondro - and it says "Chondropython"...

who writes a book about snakes and labels them wrong... ?!

anyway- thats my rant for the day and i think the calico-burm is actually a calico-retic--- either way and amazing creature that i wouldn't mind having myself!!

There is a picture on Prehistoric Pets website of someone holding whats labeled as the "worlds 2nd calico burmese python" -- looks nothing like the one in that pic from the zoo--- but maybe that was the first? ... or maybe theres more

i set the pic from the zoo website as my background to make it bigger and it does have the head shape and eyes of a burm- not a retic... so i have no idea... but now i have to get my old background back - lol

The first photo is a calico retic and the other 2 are of very clean normal burms.

Thanks for the links to extra photos.

Definitely a calico-variant burmese python. And a dandy, too.

Later!
