Nest building

Hi all,

A few weeks ago my Argentine B/W started building a dome out of Cypress mulch in its outdoor enclosure. It's really neat to look around the area of the dome and note that there aren't any wood large wood pieces - they're all in the pile! Wish I could have seen how it (tegu) transported the material to its current location.

He is still eating like a pig so hopefully it will be a while before he goes off feed for the Winter.

That sounds interesting but I don't know if I understand what you mean. He put the big pieces of mulch in a pile? I'd like to see a pic of it! Once when the hide box was nearly empty my female started dragging stuff in there. She was dragging it along with her front claws as she scooted backwards into the entrance hole.
