What's in Lysol that makes it dangerous to use around snakes?

Are there any other household chemicals that are very dangerous to them? I am cleaning out a room downstairs to put my snakes and some of my feeder insects for my leos in and I need to clean it first so I am concerned about things I might be using.

I don't know if it is just Lysol or what but I consider any cleaning agent a potential hazard near living things. With lysol aerosol I would worry about it being inhaled....that would put me out for an hour with asthma and chest pains and snakes are smaller and more sensitive. So I don't spray anything near beasties.
I think if you are using a liquid and apply it, rinse it totally thoroughly and then let it dry that that would be 'safe'. Another option is bleach....let to dry totally also.

I use either Windex Vinegar, which lacks all the harmful ingredients that normal Windex has, or I use Quat Plus, a reptile disinfectant/cleanser. Try not to use any chemically household cleansers, if they smell bad to you, imagine the snake.

1. Ethanol - also known as ethyl alcohol - this is the stuff you drink. 79%.

2. Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Saccharinate - this is what kills the really nasty germs. Chemically, this is a very large molecule, and a benzene derivate (carcinogen). Not sure how it reacts in a snake's system, but it really isn't good for you either. 0.1%

3. Inert Ingredients - 20.9% This includes the propellant, fragrance, maybe a stabilizer, surfactant, preservative, etc. Chemical content unknown - this could be anything, from other benzene derivates to possibly a silicate to aid in dispersal to who knows what.

Not a definitive answer in terms of what the killer is, but hope this helps.
