Breeding Question??

latin1956 Jan 29, 2008 08:55 PM

I have a Female Het Albino, that has been breeding with my male Albino since Oct 10, 2007. They have locked up at least 8 times that I saw. Maybe more when I was at work. Is this enough or should I keep puting them toghether? The last time she ate was 1/20, 2008. I have offered her food and she refuses to eat. Her last shed was on 11/14/07.

Thank you for the responses.

I forgot to post the pictures of the snakes in question! This female was sold to me a a het albino, hoping to prove her out! Her weight in Oct 07 1995grams, today 2400grams. This will be my first attemp at breeding Ball Pythons.

Thanks for looking!

She looks great, very heavy and probably gravid but if you do not need the male albino for other females it will not hurt to put him back in just in case.Good luck

I'm no expert, but I agree. Looks like you should get the prelay shed soon.

Palpate your animals. Check for folicle size. Keep throwing your male in until you see ovulation.

If you are working with your animals EVERY day it's hard to miss an ovulation. Your snakes will stop breeding when they're done.
