Do you think this one hurts at all?

salmonboa.com Jan 30, 2008 01:08 PM

We just wanted to share a pic of an ovulation that occured earlier this week. This female T+ Argentine boa ovulated and I thought she was going to rupture! She was bred by another T+ so it should be a really fun litter if everything goes well!

Do you think there is any pain for them when it blows up like this? lol

Thanks
John

If you found out that ovulations like that do hurt, would you stop breeding? I think not!!

I would not be surprised to find there is an uncomfortable, maybe even painful level of irritation with the ovulation process. Even the birthing process probably has some level of pain associated with it. BUT, is all natural and to be expected.

it must suck just dragging that thing around! I see a lot of salmontines around, has anyone bred salmon to arg. albino yet? seems like you'd be on this one!
