Tempature and humididty?

Is there a small divice that i can bring into the field to record tempartue and humidy of the area a snake was found?

yes, bring one of them stick on themometer/humidy gauge's with you.lay it face down so the coils in the back are exposed to the air above the ground .then you can lay it face up and youd be surprised how different the ground surface temperature can be, u can place it under some cover for a minute for a under ground cover reading

Temperature is easy - get a small infrared temperature gun. With that you can measure the temp of where the critter is laying and even the temperature of the critter itself. They are also not affected (directly) by being in the sun or shade.

Humidity is tougher. You can measure the overall humidity of the area with several handheld devices, but you can't measure the humidity under a board, for example. As soon as you lift the board, the conditions change drastically.
