my iguana wont eat this food product

the other day i bought this product:hartz or wardley juvenile iguana premium diet and i tried giving it to my iguana i mixed it with what it usually eats but it didnt eat it, i did this for three days but it just wouldnt eat(my iguana usually eats like crazy)and when i went back to giving it its regular salad it ate great like always. why doesnt it eat this food?

NO, biggy! If you iguana doesn't want to eat it, it's fine. Commercial iguana food should only be used as a supplement anyway, not as the main staple. Iguanas will do just fine on greens and veggies. They don't need the commercial food.

Paradon makes a good point, However if you still wish to try to feed your iguana this product as a supplement. Try letting it soak in water for 5-10minutes (or until softened but not squishy and mushy. think cereal, would you want to eat cereal thats been left in milk too long?) not only will this soften it, possibly making it more appetizing but it will also help add some more liquids into your iguana's diet which is rarely a bad thing.
