It was kind of a not so funny story. Before this pair hatched I had never seen a lavender albino in person. I new they were a dream from pics but never new their real beauty.
Anyway this clutch was my last clutch of the year from my very first breeding season. My 05 het la female (which was bred by a het la male) ovulated...Yippee but then she went 50 days post ovulation shed OMG talk about stressed out.
She finally laid 5 perfect eggs. Those 5 eggs of course took longer to hatch then any of my previous clutches. Headache number#2
The first out was the lavender male yeaaaa yeaaaaaa!!! But he was too early.
He still had a large portion of yoke attached. I mean like golf ball size..OMG..I literally had to place him back inside the egg then secure the egg in a small cup to keep him from ripping from his yoke and killing himself.
Here is the most beautiful snake I've ever seen and it could possible die. Most likely from me messing with it. I didn't sleep for two nights until the rest of the clutch started to hatch over the next two days.
I checked on my little lavender in a cup and he was perfect. The yoke was all dried up and gone. Sheeeewwwww that was a huge relief.
The rest of the clutch yielded another lavender albino which turned out to be a drop dead gorgeous female
along with two 66%er females and one 66%er male.
What a clutch.
