quick update

winnipeguy Jan 30, 2008 08:20 PM

Just an update on the recent rescue. (see "ugh" post below)

It has not been long, but he settled in FAST. He really needed some heat and security. I was feeding, and decided to offer, and he struck immediately!!!!! Missed the first time, but after a little wiggling he tried again and whammo, he nailed it. I am sooooo happy hes feeding for me, and I think he is too.

Now I just gotta raise him up real big, take him back to the jerks who had him, and let him give them a good chomp!!!!!

awsome- my most recent rescue is doing better - she only took 1 rat this week, which is depressing since we had 2 a week for the last 3 weeks in a row.

Her back bone is still hanging out, her scales just... fold over the backbone- its horrible.

anyway- glad yours is doing good!

makes you all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it?!

There's no excuse for ignorance... if a mother or father was taking care of a child that way, the children would be taken away.. there needs to be something for snakes too.. I mean the ASPCA takes in a few, but not a lot. There's got to be something out there.

Speaking from a "newbie" point of view, I've had mys nake less than a week.. I know more about snakes before I got it then I did before i had a child. LOL. I did over 2,000 hours of research to make sure that I knew everything i needed to know, and I still ask questions like crazy. Urgh!
