i just received a pair of 2-4 week old baby ackies . i have a 50 gallon tank ( the top is made using glass and wood to retain the heat and moisture) for them but im curious if i should mayby use smaller tank (ive got a extra 10g) for a couple months to moniter them ? im somewhat new at the ackies so any help would be appreceiated . im going to use a dirt sand mixture but for now im using Desert Blend Lizard Litter .i thought mayby it would be good for a baby for a few months . also im using a 75w halogen bulb for day time heat. im just starting out and have read about them for quite some time so i was just curious about the tank size. i know from what ive read people are using tubs but for right now im using tanks . ill probly build something down the road . just let me know if something comes to mind. thanks in advance .
