Looks like she either ate a nice big meal, or she's ovulating.

Seriously, either the angle on those pics is REALLY bad, or that snake would be way too skinny for me to feel comfortable breeding.

Well the angle and the camera are crap but she is also somwhat skinny. She breed a very long time ago so long ago that i was expecting her eggs about two months ago. She has been refusing pretty much everything takes a rat once in a while (hasnt in over two months now). Honestly I'm shocked at seeing this ovulation. Here are some pics of how fat she was when she was breeding these pics where taken about a week after she started breeding.

Thank you I bred her (Normal yet a little different) to my male het albino im gonna keep all the girls i have another het albino male growing up right now for them and another female 100het for the daddy of this clutch to make albinos with (incase you havent figured it out i dont beleive in inbreeding but im not dogging people who do its just my opinion). I might keep a male to breed back to mom to see if she is anything different u cant really tell from her pics but she is alot darker than all my other balls i know its a long shot (allthought i beleive she is a w.c.) It never hurts to try right.

Okay, so it wasn't just me :P Not much you can do for a snake that refuses to eat!

Good luck with her, hope she picks up again for you right after she drops eggs!

She isn't underweight at all. she was in perfect condition to breed. Actually female balls don't have to be super heavy to breed, just solid like all pythons. She wouldn't have cycled and ovulated if she wasn't heavy enough. Congrats, you should have a great clutch.

Judging from the game controller she looks smaller than I would expect to be ideal to breed. Keep in mind I have yet to breed but I always expected them bigger than that. Is that a good size for a breeding female? I am not talking skinny or fat I am wandering about her length.

You cant really see it in the pics but she is pretty long about 4 and a half feet give or take a inch or two. She has breed for me in the past

... that girl looks perfect. During ovulation the female is drawing up all of those big ripe follices from her lower region in order to fertilize them. Her look now has nothing to do with her conditioning and whether she is heavy enough or not. In fact, when the ovulation is that dramatic and the tail looks that skinny, the female is usually going to have a nice, big fertile clutch (in my experience anyway). The snake is now very lean because she has committed to much stored energy to producing a great clutch of eggs. I wouldn't want my girls to look any other way during a "lump".
