Actually, I would head for "The Leopard Gecko Manual" also written with help from Tremper. It is sub $5 usually, but has all the information most people will ever need, from how to set up, feed, and recognize problems. It is the only book we ever use and it done in a very straight forward "everyone" manner. If everyone here had a copy of the Manual the boards would be dead, all the questions can be answered there. Our tattered copy is our staple, I don't tend to recommend the Herp book because a lot of people seem to find it overwhelming and harder to find the answer to that immediate question you are facing at the time. I'm a science nut and an engineer, the Manual has the right mix of straight advice and science.
Thanks for doing your research ahead of time, we gladly welcome any and all questions and celebrate those people who ask them BEFORE the animal arrives so everyone can have a good experience. Good luck, and welcome to the boards.
