This is "Beefcake" - a female Borneo who will turn 13 this year. I'm so thankful that she's an absolute sweetheart...once you get past that feeding response!

Kara, nice to see a pic of a Borneo well over 6 feet. Not something you see very often. The largest wild caught specimen ever recorded was a female at around 6' 10". This female of yours isn't too far off of that. The key to really large bloods/short-tails is definitely age. Is this the largest one you know of?

Kelly, she's the largest breitensteini I've ever seen. I do have a 7 year old female brongersmai who is very close to this one, in terms of over all size...I will have to get her out for photos with the yardstick so we can all eyeball it (she's breeding right now).
It's been a real thrill to work with some truly large bloods/STPs, and I'm honored to have them here. I've certainly gained a new appreciation for the sizes they're capable of attaining.
"Beefcake" weighed in last night at 28 lbs.

I was meaning to ask you her weight in my last post. And I agree, large bloods are truly impressive.
