I fed my corn on Sunday, and I plan to feed it every Sunday. Its about a foot and a half long, and it ate 1 pinkie no problem. I think a fuzzie might be too big right now. But how am I supposed to know whether or not he wants more than 1 pinkie? Is there some sort of behavior I should look for in terms of him being hungry? If I feed two pinkies, how far apart should the feedings be?

Young corns are usually fed every 4-6 days. Mine is about 20 inches long and I just switched her to 2 pinkies every 5-6 days. I started at about 21 grams.

I'm loosely following the 'Munson Plan' from the cornsnakes.com forums:

-Single pinks (2-3g) every 4-5 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 4-5 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (24-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170 )
-Jumbo Adults (40-50g) every 7-x days (Snake = 400g )

So, do you feed him one pinkie, then he swallows it, and then you immediately feed him the next one? As in one sitting?

You can give it two pinkies in one sitting, one right after the other. A snake that size should be eating large pinkies or small fuzzies. Snakes can eat bigger food items than you might think.

I feed my snakes that are less than a year old every five days.
