For those that don't know what I'm talking about, I was looking for an enclosure with 2 sides glass and 2 sides screen for our Carpet cham (finally named "Leo"
. I have heard of successful breeders using both planted vivariums and screen enclosures for these guys since they like it nice and humid...so I couldn't decide which would be best. After running into dead end after dead end with the Lizard Lounge, I stumbled across a place called Action Screens which makes them. I gave them a call, and they will custom make just what I want...screen and glass, with several inches of glass around the bottom of the screen sides to hold the substrate in. So far, they seem great...prices seem to be decent...definitely not cheap for a not so huge cage...I got extra large which is 24x18x28. Remember, this is for a carpet cham...
What I need to know is how do I find out if the screen is the "right" type that will cause less problems? Or is ANY screen going to cause problems, hence the reason why some people put mesh lining the screen?? Also, what can I ask him to be sure it's "cricket proof"??
Thanks so much...I hope this turns out the way I want.
