Thayeri adult size?

Orocosos Feb 03, 2008 12:07 PM

I've found what appears to be a nice looking Thayeri in a local pet store, and I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the average adult size for a Thayeri? Do they have any special care requirements?

my adults are around 30 inches and I would have to say they are one of the easiest snakes to take care of. Pick up the one at the pet store and enjoy!

Though I love bright colors in thayeri, the middle pic is my favorite.

Adults vary but most range in the 26-32 inch zone. I've had a few that were 40" but that was the exception. As for care they can be treated much like many other colubrids (78-84 temps during the summer and cool them off in winter 50-40 degrees if possible). I think you will find them to be hardy and produce amazing clutches with great color diversity.
Good luck,
Russ
