Where does one go for Glossy info?

MissHisssss Aug 27, 2003 12:29 AM

Hi all. I've read what I could on Glossy's but want to know more. I got Wally last year. There were three in his cage. A large, medium and small one on sale for $10 each. I got the smallest one. He looked to be only a few months old. He is so cool. Looks just like the one in Terry's picture in another post on this forum, but he doesn't burrow very often, as was mentioned. Just lays out in the open... day or night, and doesn't run and hide when he sees me either. So I guess I have an odd ball.

He's eaten mice without a problem since I got him till just recently. He's refused several meals. Has already shed, but still nothing. Tried live, and still nothing. Any suggestions? Would also like to know if there is a red and/or black phase, and what forum would be best to ask questions like this?

Thanks ya all

I forgot to add that Wally is in a 20 gallon long aquarium in my den, displayed with several other snakes in 20 gallon longs and also two 60 gallon turariums (sp). I use aspen bedding with different rock formations. I also use the necessary heat sources. He just quit eating lately and he's never done that before.

mh, not to fret, wally just isn't hungry right now. he'll start up again probably after his next shed. a couple of my snakes are in fast mode now too and i just leave them be until they 'tell' me different. perfectly normal snake behaviour.......
