ive read some stuff on other boards and gotten a lot of emails from people i guess who didnt want to publicly state some things.......there are people out there who are not too happy with the ball python world in general.......personally im amazed at what ive seen in the last ten years,,,,,but ive never looked at it in certain ways until now,,,,,how many breeders list their animals as "investment quality" ....that says a lot right there,,,,,that promotes exploitation and not the raising them cause you love them kind of attitudes,,,,,,how many people who didnt know what a ball python was ten years ago now own extensive collections.....because someone turned them on to the profits......how many people ONLY have ball pyhons in their collection......and if its because you say its your true love of the species then how many normals did you breed ten years ago.....why cant i go to one of the banner owners at the top of this page and buy a cornsnake or a garter snake,,( and yes i understand its because we are on the ball python forum,my point is they DO NOT BREED INEXPENSIVE ANIMALS).,,why cant i buy an adult male NORMAL ball python from one of them......because they arent worth anything thats why,,,,,,im not bashing them im only bringing up points brought to my attention ......greed has driven this business to where it is today as much if not MORE then the love of herps.....i cant argue with the good thats come from it but i certainly wont bury my head in the sand about the bad.....what goes around comes around.......do good get good.......do bad and well ....DEAL WITH IT......i just hope the good dont have to go down with the bad......Good luck to all(who deserve it).....there is good and there is bad in any business......i know there are many who bred normal ball pythons and who DO sell inexpensive reptiles along with the expensive ones so keep your im this im that hate mail on the lighter side,,,,,,,the people this is towards know who they are,,,,,,,good luck to all

...the novelty chase. Those with the nouse to realise others would chase novelty like they do, saw a market.....quite innnocent really compared with a lot of businesses.
