Boa & Python Ban PIJAC Membership

mikebell Feb 04, 2008 01:30 PM

After reading some but not all of the discussion on the ban, I realised there was no mention of PIJAC (Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council). They are the organization which is supposed to organize the fight against this type of proposed legislation.

I'm a member and I believe almost every vendor at Daytona is also a member. Take a look and see if you feel it is worth joining

Great information Mike. Are their any other groups that can be joined, to be more involved on a National level?

I don't know of any others. A single WELL organized effort would be more effective than many smaller groups.

I'm not sure how effective PIJAC is, we ended up with restrictions on the Reptiles of Concern. That was probably inevitable considering how many Burmese are running around in Fla.
