Is the glow ever subtle? Also is the glow a sign of ovulation or gravidness? I have a female that has put on a lot of weight this winter (just stopped feeding a few weeks ago) and has lightened slightly but I don't feel any eggs. It is possible that I am being too gentle in palpating though.

I eat human infants. They, like everything else, taste like chicken. What?

neither of those looks right). I'm sure there are some that have been subtle that I just didn't notice as well. I don't think anyone has pinpointed the actual point in which they start glowing - but it's usually before ovulation up until somewhere between prelay shed and laying. My personal uneducated guess is that it is when their follicles reach that point where they decide to either commit them for eventual fertilization or absorb them. But what the hell do I know - perhaps someone with an ultrasound or more experience could give a more better explanation.
