The only suggestion I would make is to ensure those rocks are VERY STABLE. Uro's are very stong, stronger than they look and could dig right under those rocks and sorry to say this, but a rock could falls squish your baby. One person on another forum had this happen and the rock only shifted about 1/4".

Ditto, make sure the rocks are 100% stable and cannot shift even the tiniest bit. Another suggestion would be that if that is a water dish, take it out. It's hard to tell in the photo if that's water or a food dish.

OK, thanks for suggestions...
1st. those rocks are stable the big one weights around 5kg and is sitting on 2 smaller rocks, no way those rocks can collapse in any way..i can sit there if i want, hehe...really, i can't think of a way how would uro make those rocks collapse
2nd. this is not a water bowl, it's a food bowl, but the food can't be seen because it's hidden behind that woodden edge which is preventing for seeds to leak out of enclosure.

yeah the rock thing stinks. The adult uros ive had never had rock digging issues but the baby egypticus I have right now is a CRAZy let's dig-under-my-rock boy!! I had some VERY heavy rocks on the bottom of his cage UNDER sand.. i'm talking like a volleyball sized rock and he CAN dig under it and move it in the sand.. b/c he digs around the sand and it shifts,.. it's sooo dangerous. so now he can't have any rocks. He loves to squish himself under things so he's only allowed to use wood stumps now and i have a very THIN piece of slate that he crawls under and the rock sits on him and it's light enough to not bother him at all.

Ive changed his enclosure 'round soo many times that lil' bastard!! but he's soo damn cute! (Niles is his name) gotta love him.

He loves to drink water... which is wierd b/c my former uro didn't really do this. I'm thinking he's eating more seed and not enough greens and so he's thirsty. gosh he's precious when he drinks. no dish, but spray or in his "bath". does ur baby uro do this??

Kristen - will post pics when i learn how to use my new camera
