Calling all experienced beardie owners!

Hi! I'm new to the beardie world. I am planning on getting one soon, and I was wondering if any of you experienced beardie owners would mind giving me any unusual info that helps you out. You know, the kind you never see in the books. I had two anoles for about a year and I learned alot of stuff that I had never read. (How to CATCH crickets, for example!)

best thing to do, is read past posts here on the bearded dragon forum, and other forums, to find out useful tips not typically found in books or care sheets.
