Jungle Corn

Kevin Saunders Feb 05, 2008 02:56 PM

I just wanted to share a few pics of my new jungle corn. He sure looks like a motley to me, but he has ventral pattern so I guess that's not the case. I'll try to get some better pictures soon, these were taken right after I got him.

looks like a jungle to me, I can see the cali king in it

Might actually be a motley, its hard to know if motley will effect the jungle corn because of the kingsnake blood the same as it effects the cornsnake

We will need some serious breeding tests on this with F2 het for motley breedings

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what to pair him with. I at least want to breed him to a corn at some point to figure out what's up with the pattern genetics. Since he's het for caramel, I thought of going with a caramel motley or stripe but I'm not sure I'd know the caramels from the normals since most jungle corns are shades of yellow and brown.

i would think that the caramel would take any red out. But with hybrids who knows it a whole new ball game

Very stunning. Do you know what morph of King and Corn produced that?

He's from a butter motley male bred to a female reverse striped cal king (very wide black stripe).
