Black Milk ALMOST Black!!

Daniel Klopson Feb 05, 2008 05:54 PM

This is a nice little 06 female. Ive brought her along on the slow side of the feed scale but this last shed she lost quite a bit more color! The breeder I got these from has MONSTER adults, in the six foot range, about the thickness of an empty paper towel roll. These are my favorite milks!! Big, beautiful, calm, cold snakes. Show me yours!!

Hey Daniel,

Great snake you've got there. They're a pleasure to work with. I just brought mine up from brumation within the last couple of weeks and am happy to have them back in the snake room.

Here is a picture of my big old girl coiled in my hand and my male stretching out. They're both right at 6 feet.

I am feeding these things like the bottomless pits that they are...

Nice looking snake! They are a pig of a snake! My buddy tells me you have to careful with the adults or they become fatties very quickly. Thanks, Dan

Dan,

You are right! As adults they can get really fat which is obviously not healthy and may cause them to be disinterested breeders. Feed them heavy as young snakes but make sure to monitor their fat levels.
