A little late night snake porn? GRAPHIC

rainbowsrus Feb 06, 2008 12:42 AM

Not sure what it is but I've seen more visual copulation's this last year than all other years combined. I know a huge part of it is my studly BCI Motley boys each stretching out an inch of hemipene while riding their "dates" (have caught both in similar positions). Another part of it is having several BCI pairings going on. But I even witnessed two actual BRB copulation's in 2007.

Tonight I was looking for opportunities to do some partial cage cleanings and looked in on a trio, Motley male, Ghost Female and Albino Arabesque female. (was both motley males but they were fighting over the ghost so I had moved the other male to another cage a couple of days ago)

The motley and ghost were copulating so I snapped a few pics.

Albino Arabesque in the foreground, only just the tail of the ghost and motley can be seen.

Same pic, just cropped in close (remember, all three snakes are shown)

A little fuzzy, they were on the move but clearly shows the male hemipene going into the females cloaca.

Kinda nasty but also pretty cool. I feel like such a voyeur.

I love it...can't get better confirmation than that. Good luck on her taking and having a healthy litter.

I have witnessed a few copulations but so far no ovulations or POS's....Still optimistic though.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks!!

Yeah, looks like things might just be going too well I only have so many slots to put babies in, have a lot (almost 300) but even that will go only so far!!! Will have to start selling as fast as they come out??

Of course a few will never leave! Several of my pairings are to produce specific animals I want for specific projects. Like "Motley Summit Salmon Coral Albino Sunglows" I'm starting to feel like selective breeding is a lot like being a master chef. A little of this, a pinch of that, put it in the oven for a while and voila, out pops that special baby boa!!
