Heat Cable

Quick question:

I'm looking into purchasing a rack that uses heat cable and I am not sure how it compares to heat tape. What are the benefits or disadvantages of using heat cable? Has anyone ever run into any problems with it?

I'm just familiar with heat cable, and I like it for small jobs. I think whenever I have real large racks I'll use flexwatt. Look at some past posts and I talk to someone about racks with heat cable.
