The previous thread made concerning this issue seemed to rub many the wrong way. Seems just questioning the origins of many of these breeder's lines was enough to send many of their loyalists on the warpath. I see there is still one scouting for an opening even now. HA!!
Well, first off, I would like to personally thank those, where as even though some found the boards a bit overbearing choosing instead of bailing to keep this topic going, with many, thru e-mails and phone calls.
Howie Sherman, KJ Lodrigue, Terry Parks, Daryl Camby, Dan Phelps, John Ginter, Bill Reynolds, Charles Demery, Matt (Staten Island Zoo) and Robert Brandner (for being very conscientious so long ago in documentation).
I have mentioned the Staten Island Zoo in many of my posts when speaking of my early years and the assoication with "Barrens" locale Northern Pines. It was here where I was able to get first hand info. on these spectacular herps. No one ever responded with any concern to this info. so I figured many were not familiar with the Zoo or Robert Brandner, one of their past keepers. That is until now.
Some good did come out of the previous threads and I would like to bring it back to the boards for more discussion.
I would be more than happy to hear from any other keepers that may be familiar with this line as well as any other different lines that may exist from other breeders who have not yet participated.
Some people that do have pits from this line in their collections include Howie Sherman, KRRC, John Ginter and shortly myself.
Thanks, Rich Hebron
