From what I gather, the moderator(s) will remove any post they deem inappropriate as soon as they discover it...without giving you a clue as to what specifically was inappropriate. I think I asked on a different Kingsnake forum why my post was removed, and all I got was the cryptic "violated the Terms of Service" reply. I couldn't figure out what particular term of service was violated.

I had another post pulled because I mentioned I was translating a herpetocultural book from German to English and was going to see about the publisher printing the translated version, or arranging for on-demand printing...I guess the mods figured I was trying to advertise? The downside was that in the same post I was trying to contact the original author as I was in Germany at the time and was hoping to meet, but he probably never saw the post.

I understand the need to ensure posts keep in line with the TOS, but I think from time to time some mods get overzealous. Conversely, it looks like the Herp Law/CITES forum ISN'T being moderated lately!
