Elapid Eye Candy

Micrurus laticollaris. I'm not the best photographer but I thought some of you elapid fans might like to see a pic of a seldom seen species. I love these guys. Complete opposite of what we think of when we think Micrurus. Active, inquisitive, and good feeders.

I’m from Florida, so those double oreos are freaking me out! Such a clean white, too. Thanks for sharing.

Just how venemous is this variant in comparison to your "normal" coral snake. I don't know if any detailed study has been done so I'm looking for something general like "about the same" or "not at all" etc.

Thankyou.

Nice looking snake. There was a variant that was similar in appearance in Belize. I can still remember crawling into a drain pipe to catch it for viewing. What is that one eating? Best to you- Mike
