After I used heat tape I will never get comercial made UTH ever again. It is easy to use. I get mine fron the Bean Farm. Depending on the aplication the widths are 3", 4" and 11 inch. You can buy it by the foot and cut to your needs. I get the clips and plastic covers. Though some people like to solder there wire to it. I use extension cords from Wal-mart and just cut the end off. They send very detailed instructions with the tape on how to use. I use the aluminnum tape that you can get there to stick it to the bottom of tanks or racks. Watch this stuff though is sharp on the edges and will give you one big bad paper cut that can be quite deep. You still have to use a thermostat or reostat. I use common light dimmers from a home supply store. Hope this helps I am note exactly the best writer on explaneing stuff.
