Albino with dark eyes??

ColdBloodAlchemy Feb 06, 2008 06:38 PM

I bought a little leopard gecko that was labeled as an Albino. I have no idea the background of it, but it has very dark eyes, and my understanding is that Albinos can't have dark eyes. Can anyone make a good guess for me as to what kind of morph this might really be, or if it could actually be a dark eyed albino??

I used to have like that. I think it's still an albino, but not all of the traits are visible like red eyes for example. Still a nice gecko!

My understanding is that "albino" doesn't necessarily carry its traditional meaning with leopard geckos, and in fact, many albinos do not have red eyes (mine doesn't either). Basically it's used to differentiate animals with no black pigment in their skin, rather than no black pigment at all.

You can't really see his eyes, but he is albino, I just don't know which strain. I believe Bell maybe.
