Double Het. Albino Pinstripe Hatchling

snarla67 Feb 06, 2008 07:19 PM

Here is a pic of one the the double het Albino Pinstripe Annulata we are raising up. This was the first out crossing of the albinos into another line. This year I am going to out cross the albinos with the spotted, reduced pattern and the Loco annulata. So we will have some exciting projects for 2008.

Is pinstripe a simple resessive trait?

I would like to know the same about spotted. In other words, if you breed two spotteds together(or pinstripes)will all the offspring be spotted? I hope to work with both morphs in the future.

Tony,

I have not worked with these, but have a friend that does and its my understanding that pinstripe is not a simple recessive trait. Offspring of two pinners will likely have much thinner black bands than what normals would produce, but there are varying degrees of how thin the black bands are.
