Cage size for ceylonese pythons

python2000 Feb 07, 2008 07:55 AM

I would like to ask you the dimensions of the cage where you keep adult females ceylonese pythons. I would like to keep one but the maximum space i have is 5x3x2ft (where i keep boas). What you think about that?
Any comment will be really appreciated.

That should work for an adult female. I kept mine in 4X2 visions as sub adults 5-6ft. They had plenty of room! I plan on picking up a pair this year to work with them again and as adults I plan on giving them 6X3 visions. They generally max around 8ft but 12ft is possible. If your females get larger then normal you'll have to upgrade your cage size.
