I recently purchased a male Cinnamon to be part of a Pewter/Sterling project and thought about also picking up a Cinny female to make some Supers but I've been hearing about spinal & facial deformities in Super Cinnamons. Any thoughts?

i havent heard anythign about spinal problems tho im not a huge breeder howevr have heard of the facial problem also known as duck billed lol and hear its less noticable and less of a problem if you do cinny to black pastel
Small sample size but I've only seen two (siblings from an unrelated pair). One was normal and the other had the head problem and kinked spine. I suspect that we'll have more luck finding something to change in incubation or nutrition than outbreeding at this point. It seems like this tendency and also the kinking in caramels is likely part of the mutation but perhaps we can do something to reduce the odds of the tendency.
thanks for the input like i said im not a huge breeder who knows "everything" those were just what i heard like i stated but thanks for the input glad to know that
Thanks for everyone's input. I think I am just going to abandon the Super Cinnamon project until more is known.
P.S. They can have my balls when they pry them from my cold dead fingers...Uh..wait, that came out wrong.
