something to be concerned about

superdave1781 Feb 08, 2008 04:15 PM

I just wanted to warn you all about what the people in other forums (away from kingsnake ones) have been discussing. They are already talking about compromising and are planning on submitting "alternative solutions" to the ban. I really think these groups have the potential to harm us more then help. They haven't taken the time to read up on the issue, and are jumping to conclusions. I'm not saying this isn't a serious threat to our hobby (cause it is) but everyone needs to remain calm and figure out the facts before responding. It's so very frustrating cause when they heard about this "ban", they instantly got online and started discussing solutions to suggest, instead of taking the time to look everything up. The first thing I did was read the articles posted about it, looked up and read the Lacey Act, looked up the history of amendments to the Lacey Act, and looked up info on the SFWMD...I did all this before speaking to anyone so I knew what was going on. I guess what I'm trying to say is, try to spread this message to people in other forums, to be patient and take the time to understand what's actually going on before responding. Has anyone else noticed this?
