I just got a snake and right now im using Calcium sand by t-rex. Is this a good substrate or should i use something else? I heard of aspen but dont no what it is really or where to buy it. What do you guys think of this cali sand? ?

I've tried it. My opinion is that it is not very functional. I like the rounded natural aquarium gravel better than sand of any type. I'm not saying Calci-sand will not work for you, but you asked for opinions, and that is mine after using it. If you do use it and your ambient humidity is low, you might need a humidity box in the cage to give the snake a chance to get some moisture. A humidity box is simply a plastic container with a hole for access and filled with slightly moist sphagnum moss.
Aspen is a great substrate for kings/milks. So is the coconut husk chips sold in pet stores that carry reptile supplies. Check out The Bean Farm, Big Apple Herp, LLL, etc.
