beardie eats his own [bleep]

Hi a friend of mine has a male beardie fully grown and now it has started to eat its own [bleep]! Why does he do this? Does anybody know? If you do, please answer.

My guess is that the bearded is looking for some kind of mineral. It certainly isn't a normal beardie habit and certainly one that is risky. He's reingesting bacteria. I think I'd get a fecal done. Is he using Calcium and Vitamin suppliments? Feeding calcium rich greens?

they will eat their feces like said to add something they are missing from their diet. What is his diet like and are you using good dusting supplements?
