Some more of the same ol' Calhoun county

Texas stuff. I have a job on Matagorda Island next week, but I took the materials down today and to preview the job, so naturally, I stopped by the not so local watering hole. The usual suspects, a ribbon that eluded pics, two yearling Texas rat snakes, tmtc Carolina anoles, tmtc ground skinks, a few leopard frogs, and( I'm still gonna use this nomenclature till I don't have to!) a Gulf coast toad. I am surprised to not have seen a king today and I haven't seen a cottonmouth from here for a few years, I think the deer hunters are wiping them out, there are a few new stands nearby and this place is waaaay off the beaten track. Sorry for the same ol stuff, but this is my standby. Also no broad banded or diamondbacked water snakes yet. At least I didn't see any dor's!

Cool stuff as usual, Todd! If you want to see cottonmouths, maybe you'll find them in neighboring Refugio County. They were plentiful a couple summers ago, anyway.
