I am going to the Bahamas this week on a trip with a university ichthyology class, and I was wondering if are there any venomous snakes located on any of the islands?
Thanks!

Nope-no dangerously venomous snakes on any of the islands. The small, racer-like snake Alsophis vudii is rear-fanged and found on many islands. But it is entirely harmless to humans. We caught dozens on Andros, but not a single one so much as tried to bite!
