B.C.C. " Pokigron Type. "

madisonrecords Feb 10, 2008 10:45 AM

All different flavors do our beloved Locality Boas come in. This Boa came out of a Guyana Shipment 8 months ago and indeed looks nothing like what most have coined " The Guyana Look. " Wether she was caught in Guyana or not " will never be known, " but a beautiful Locality Boa nontheless that has more of the coined " Pokigron look " than anything else........John

Very strange little male here. He also came out of a Guyana shipment 8-9 months ago and once again looks nothing like " typical Guyana. " I have see several over the last 20yrs " but not many " that have exhibited this look. I have never been much of a photographer, but these " type " Boas have; " bannana yellow between the tail bands and a very buckskin/yellow body with a light grey/violet color dusting their sides. It has always been my estimation based on experiance and a couple travels down to S.A. that there are isolated pockets of Boas that are probably very closely related that can exhibit similar characteristics that may not be the norm as far as what we believe represent a typical Locality Characteristic, " there is one in every woodpile. " Regardless, nice Boa.......John

Very nice animal !
Sadly all to many locality strains have been bred to have "the look" of a breeders opinion rather then the WC imports of the old days.
Cant fix what aint broke !

Beautiful animals John, I think those are some good pics too. Even if they weren't they would have to be the worst photos in the world to hide such awesome animals from people that can appreciate gorgeous bcc. I always love animals that don't fit the mold for there type. I have been looking at a litter of peruvians that came from pretty classic looking parents, some of the litter looks extremely classic, but there are a few that came out with mild peaks and "suri type batwing" saddles, I still cant decide which ones I like better. Maybe I will just have to get a couple of them. Thanks, Nick Stone
